About Us
About the Junior Committee
The Junior Committee of the Alzheimer's Association, NYC Chapter is dedicated to raising awareness of Alzheimer's and related dementias to individuals in their 20s and 30s through events, support and education to further the efforts of the NYC Chapter. We are a diverse group of civic-minded young professionals who have all been touched by Alzheimer’s in some way. Some have lost a loved one, some have watched a friend suffer, and some have been caregivers – but all are united by a desire to see an end to Alzheimer’s Disease.

I brought the BvB initiative to the NYC Chapter after having played on Team Brunette in DC in honor of my grandfather who suffered from Alzheimer's. When I moved from D.C. to New York to get my MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business I wanted to make sure NY could share in the amazing experience I had meeting strong, athletic women who have all been touched by Alzheimer's in some way. Not to mention, I have had a love for the game since I was 11 and cheered on the sidelines for the Dallas Cowboys as a "junior cheerleader." |

I had the pleasure of being a Team Brunette Co-Captain last year, playing in honor of my mother and grandmother who have both passed away from Alzheimer’s. When I walked onto the field for try-outs I didn’t know anyone, but I am happy to say that I walked away with some incredible friends and unforgettable experiences. BvB offered me an wonderful opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and have fun, all the while generating awareness about this devastating disease. Whether you’re athletic or not, I welcome to get involved in this wonderful cause and share this amazing experience with some amazing women.
