Over a period of two decades, Helen Baldassare has trod the boards of off-Broadway, regional theatre, summer stock, supper clubs and cabarets, in the US and abroad. Along the way, she has garnered numerous awards and honors, including 4 MAC Awards and a Bistro Award. Helen was also a recipient of a 2009 Night Life Award.

Glen Gillen
Glen has been studying the art of cabaret for the past seven years through Cabaret Performance Workshop. He has performed at multiple venues throughout New York City including Don’t Tell Mama, The Duplex, and Rose’s Turn. He is honored to part of this evening as his day job for the past 25 years has been working in the area of neurologic rehabilitation.
   
   
Janie Press
Janie has a successful career in the apparel industry as National Sales Manager for Second Base, as well as being a dedicated volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association New York City Chapter. In addition to her creative career she started pursuing her musical passion by participating in workshops with Cabaret Performance Workshop and The New School.

Lionel Shockness
After an auspicious singing debut in the fifth grade talent show at Saint Lucy’s parochial school, LIONEL SHOCKNESS went on to charm/entertain/wow audiences in his native city of New York. As a radio broadcaster, his melifluous/melodious voice was heard on Skyline Jazz-Cable Stereo, 106.3 NYC as well as on In touch Networks, reading for the blind.

Gregory Toroian
Gregory Toroian is an accomplished musical director, arranger, accompanist and songwriter in New York City.  In addition to working with such artists as Tony Bennett, Jon Hendricks, Cab Calloway, Donna Summer, Melissa Errico, and Jane Olivor, he has appeared in almost every jazz club and cabaret, (major and minor), in New York.

Renee Toroian
Renee Toroian, a true Jersey Girl, spent many years in the Garden State doing community theatre, workshop performances, church, school and private events, before pursuing her dream in New York City.  As a result of taking part in Cabaret Performance Workshop, directed by Helen Baldassare; and working with musical director, Gregory Toroian her dream quickly became a reality.  Renee has performed at Don’t Tell Mama, Helen’s Hideaway Room, The Duplex and The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
   
   
Steven Zumbo
Steven Zumbo has made his cabaret home at Don't Tell Mama and has appeared there regularly to sold-out houses for over 15 years! In the summer of 1997 he participated in the Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Symposium where he learned a great appreciation for the great American Song Book while working with Julie Wilson, Margaret Whiting and others.
