Lisa Genova, Ph.D.

Lisa Genova graduated valedictorian from Bates College with a degree in Biopsychology and has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University. She has done research on the molecular etiology of depression, Parkinson’s disease, drug addiction, and memory loss following stroke. Still Alice, her compelling debut novel, is about a 50-year-old woman’s sudden descent into early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Genova is a proud and active member of the Dementia
Advocacy & Support Network International and Dementia USA and is an online columnist for the National Alzheimer’s Association . She spends a considerable amount of time acting on stage in Boston and in local independent films. She is currently working on her next novel, LEFT NEGLECTED.
