A busy autumn is ahead, beginning with our Annual Chapter Meeting, which promises to be an extraordinary evening. This year we celebrate “A Week to Remember” — to recognize and remember those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias — with a theater benefit, a rock concert, The Empire State Building & ConEd illuminating in purple, and other events in the making, culminating on Memory Walk Day! Help us spread the word that the NYC Chapter is a resource for the NYC Community affected by dementia. Please join us as we walk for new treatments, better lives and a cure.

November is National Alzheimer’s Disease & National Caregivers Month. In celebration, a performance of
“Demolition Derby,” the Caregiver Soirée and the Mayoral Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease will take place — we hope you will be able to attend.

As always, I welcome your newsletter comments and ideas. Please send them to Susan Sugarman, Editor, Alzheimer’s Association, NYC Chapter, 4th Fl., New York, NY 10017, or by e-mail at ssugarman@alznyc.org.
