CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDY IVIG CLINICAL TRIAL FOR ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

The Memory Disorders Program at the Weill Cornell Medical College is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate an investigational treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. The study is testing Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIg), which contains antibodies that are delivered through the blood, to determine its effects on the symptoms and progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW MAY BE ELIGIBLE IF THEY:

  • already have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease
  • have symptoms in the mild to moderate range
  • are in good general health
  • have taken at least one approved Alzheimer medication
  • have never had a heart attack or stroke
  • have someone to accompany them twice a month for study visits
  • are willing to participate in a placebo-controlled study. This study requires office visits every two weeks for six months.

FOR MORE INFORMATION: Please call BASIA ADAMIAK (212) 746-6581 or ELANA COX (212) 746-6580. Detailed information can be found on www.clinicaltrials.gov.
