Junior Committee Update

Text Size A  A  A

The Junior Committee is thrilled to report that its sixth annual spring fundraising gala, “Collective Consciousness,” was a resounding success! The event was hosted by Natalie Morales of NBC’s Today Show, and Co-Chaired by Junior Committee members Emily Brand and Everett Leonidas. Held on May 1st at Tenjune, the trendy Meatpacking District club, “Collective Consciousness” was attended by over 300 young, conscientious New Yorkers dedicated to eradicating Alzheimer’s disease. It raised more money – and awareness – than any previous Junior Committee event!

This fabulous event would not have been possible without the help of an extraordinary team of volunteers – especially Scott Chabina, Jessica Levine, Samantha Kane, Tricia Amy, and many more. Please visit our Web site to view the Gala photo album.

In other volunteer news, the Junior Committee’s Vice President, Christina Cohen, was honored by the Chapter at their annual Volunteer Recognition event on April 9th for her years of hard work and dedication. Congratulations Christina!

Finally, the Junior Committee is putting together an informal team for the 2008 ING New York City Marathon. If you have a number and are interested in training with and raising money for the JC, please contact Brian Hsia at brihsia@gmail.com.

The Junior Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:45 pm at the NYC Chapter office. All are welcome to attend.
