A Reason to Celebrate!
February 26, 2009 Graduates
It was a true pleasure to celebrate the
completion of the 45-hour Dementia Care
Training by honoring the graduates on
February 26, 2009. The impact of the training
on the graduates was expressed by one person
as “A gift with a lift.” I wish each graduate
well as they continue to make a difference in
people’s lives.

April 7, 2009 Graduates

April 7, 2009 became a very special day
for the 14 home health aides who successfully
completed our 45-hour Dementia Care
Training in Spanish. These professionals
showed great initiative, were always eager to
learn and demonstrated exceptional warmth
and compassion to those under their care. We
value their commitment and their efforts; that is
a great reason to celebrate! Congratulations!

Dementia Care Trainer
In NYC, tens of thousands of people with dementia are living at home and being cared for by Home Care Aides. The work
of caring for people with dementia requires specialized skills and exceptional sensitivity. To prepare home care workers to
become part of this much-needed, capable workforce, we at the NYC Chapter offer a variety of training programs.
