New York City Support Groups

Caregiver Support Groups are listed by general location in each borough. Many of our groups are co-sponsored with other organizations. This is indicated by an asterisk (*).

Researchers, Marketing and Media Professionals: DO NOT contact support group leaders or members before contacting Matt Kudish at mkudish@alznyc.org.

Before joining a group, we highly recommend you:

  • Call the support group leader and schedule a personal interview. This gives you an opportunity to ask questions to be sure the group is right for you.
  • Select only one group and attend 3 meetings before deciding if it is right for you.
  • Attend an Understanding Dementia Seminar. Call the 24-hour Helpline at 800-272-3900 to sign-up for a meeting.
  • If you are interested in support group leader training, please click here.
Call our 24-hr Helpline at 800-272-3900 to get the most up-to-date information on support groups.
