About Team R2R
Our Team
Team R2R runners meet up regularly to pound the pavement as part of their group training runs in Central Park and elsewhere in NYC.
In its inaugural year, Team Run To Remember (R2R), raised more than $380,000 to fight Alzheimer's disease. Team R2R was launched in April 2009 to provide a way for runners to join in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. In its third year, Team R2R is offering 78 runners an opportunity to run the 2011 ING New York City Marathon while fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association, NYC Chapter. Each of our team members has a story of how Alzheimer’s or a related dementia has affected his or her family and friends.
What We Provide
Team R2R has three primary goals:
- That each of our runners successfully and safely completes
the marathon. - That each runner has FUN completing the marathon.
- That each runner is able to make a difference through raising funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Our team provides its members with training guidance, fundraising assistance, social gatherings, web tools and race-day transportation and support. To learn more about the Alzheimer's Association, NYC Chapter programs and services,
